Modern Man はスコットランドの5人組バンド。プロデュースはMidge Ure。
Midge Ureの1stソロアルバム"The Gift"に収録された"Wastelands"のオリジナルヴァージョンが本作には収録されているのが重要なポイント。
この時期のMidge Ureのプロデュース作品としては珍しく全体的にシンセの比重が少ないが、シンセの使われている部分には特にMidge Ure色が強くでている。
Modern Manは分裂し、全ての曲を書いていたDanny MitchellとColin KingがDUO "Messengers"として活動を続けた。
MessengersはUltravoxのコーラス隊としても活躍し、Ultravoxの来日公演の際にも同行している。
